Understand your lab results.
Lab Insights turns the numbers from your bloodwork into plain-English explanations, trends over time, and clear summaries — right on your iPhone.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Lab Insights (“the app”) is a personal iPhone application operated by CTT Apps LLC (“CTT Apps,” “we,” or “us”) that helps you understand your own laboratory results. This policy explains what information we handle and how. We designed Lab Insights to keep your health data on your device.
1. Information we collect
- Waitlist email. If you sign up to be notified about launch, we store the email address you provide and the date you submitted it.
- Basic signup metadata. When you submit the waitlist form, we also record limited technical information — your IP address, browser/device information (user agent), the referring page, and any campaign parameters in the link you used. We use this to protect against abuse and spam and to understand where signups come from. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
- Your lab results (in the app). The app reads laboratory results from Apple Health or, if you connect it, directly from your healthcare provider’s patient record system (via the SMART on FHIR standard). This data is processed on your device. We do not receive or store it.
2. How your health data is used
When you request an AI summary or explanation, the relevant lab results are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate that response, then displayed to you. If you enable the on-device model in Settings, this processing happens entirely on your iPhone and no data leaves the device. We do not sell, share, or use your health data for advertising, and we never use it to train AI models.
3. How your email is used
We use your waitlist email only to notify you about the app’s availability and related updates. We do not sell or rent it. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see “Your choices”).
4. Third-party services
- Google Gemini API — processes lab data you submit for AI summaries (cloud mode only). Google states that data submitted through the paid Gemini API is not used to train its models.
- Apple Health / your healthcare provider — the source of your lab results, accessed with your permission.
- Railway — hosts this website and the waitlist database.
5. Data retention & security
Waitlist emails are kept until the app launches or you ask us to remove them. The waitlist database is hosted on Railway with access restricted to us. Lab results are retained only on your device, under the protection of iOS and, if enabled, Face ID app locking.
6. Your choices
You can request deletion of your waitlist email, or ask what we hold, by emailing us at the address below. Within the app, you control access to your lab results through iOS permissions and can disconnect a provider at any time.
7. Children
Lab Insights is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the app develops. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
9. Contact

Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Lab Insights website and, when available, the Lab Insights app (together, the “Service”), operated by CTT Apps LLC (“CTT Apps,” “we,” or “us”). By using the Service or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Lab Insights reads laboratory results you already have access to (via Apple Health or your healthcare provider) and presents explanations, trends, and summaries. The app is currently in development; this website lets you learn about it and join a waitlist.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to disrupt it, access it in unauthorized ways, or use it to violate any law or the rights of others. You are responsible for the accounts and credentials you connect.
4. Your data
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short, your lab results stay on your device and are sent to an AI provider only when you request a summary or explanation (unless you use the on-device model).
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, content, and branding, is owned by CTT Apps and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or content beyond using the Service as intended.
6. Disclaimers

Documentation
Lab Insights · a product of CTT Apps LLC
Overview
Lab Insights is a personal iPhone app that helps an individual understand their own laboratory results. It reads a patient’s existing lab results, displays each value against its reference range, charts a test’s history over time, and produces plain-English explanations and summaries. Lab Insights is read-only and accesses only the signed-in patient’s own records. It is intended for personal understanding — not diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
How it connects to your records
Lab Insights obtains lab results from one of two sources, chosen by the user:
- Apple Health — clinical records already synced to the iPhone.
- Your healthcare provider (SMART on FHIR) — a direct, standards-based connection to your patient record. You sign in on your provider’s own login page; the app never sees your password. Access is granted by you and can be revoked at any time.
Standards & integration
- FHIR: R4
- Authorization: SMART on FHIR, OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow with PKCE (public client — no client secret)
- Data classes: USCDI v1
- Application audience: Patients / individual access to their own health information
Data requested
Lab Insights requests read-only access to the minimum needed to show your labs:
patient/Patient.readpatient/Observation.read(laboratory results)patient/DiagnosticReport.read(lab reports / panels)
It also requests openid, fhirUser, and offline_access for sign-in and token refresh. Lab Insights does not request or perform any write access.
How your data is used & protected
- Lab results are processed on your device. They are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- When you request an AI summary or explanation, the relevant results are sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate that response. You can instead enable an on-device model so no data leaves your iPhone.
- Your data is never sold, shared for advertising, or used to train AI models.
- Access tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. The app can be locked with Face ID.
